Macros are stored in a BMC Helix ITSM ARS, so they never get lost, like they used to in the User Tool days.

Macros are recorded and executed with the permissions of the current User, so the User can't bypass any business rules.
Compatibility

BMC Helix ITSM all versions.

BMC Remedy ARS Mid-Tier 7.x, 8.x, 9.x, 19.x, 20.x on-premises and SaaS, 21.x on-premises, 22.x on-premises and SaaS and the respective ITSM Suite versions.

Edge, Internet Explorer 11, Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

Not compatible with the legacy BMC Remedy User Tool for Windows.
Installation
On-premise installations

Place the plugin folder in your Mid-Tier.

Add one line to the bootstrap.js (no changes to the clientcore.js required).

Relogin.
BMC Helix ITSM installations

Deploy custom workflow to your BMC Helix ITSM instance.
Licensing

The Macros utility is licensed per Domain (Mid-Tier URL excluding port, for instance http://our-itsm.com) so it is not constrained by how many users use it or how many applications you run on that particular domain.
